Gandalf ... an African Grey

Gandalf came to live with us January 1st, 2008. He was hatched May 24, 2007. Gandalf is an Congo African grey although some think he might be a Ghana African grey, but either way it makes no difference to us, he is the apple of his mother’s eye. Gandalf loves to talk. He says “Erik” (our son’s name), “what doing”, “how you”, “what”, “love you”, barks like a dog, meows like a cat, makes the sound of our keyless entry panel, and many other action sounds we have not figured out yet.

He loves to hang outside his cage during the day. He helps make his meals in the kitchen. Well he eats, I make. Gandalf is learning to use a flight suit so in the summer he can join us outside more.
